Day 7
Today we visited Park Samoniy and Chashmi Ayub, and our guides were Marjona and Hurriyat. Hurriyat came earlier than others, but Marjona late😅. However, they explained legend very interestingly. And I liked their presentation.
The mausoleum is one of the oldest monuments of Central Asian monumental architecture and an architectural monument of world significance.
The memorial structure that has survived to this day was originally part of a larger necropolis, of which nothing else remains (a small cemetery was located in the area of the mausoleum only until the end of the 1930s). At present, the mausoleum is the only surviving building of the Samanid era on the territory of the Bukhara oasis[2]. It is also one of the first surviving structures built entirely of burnt bricks. It is located in the central city park of culture and recreation, which at various times bore the names of S. M. Kirov and Samanids.
