This day we visited Blachsmith Museum. We met at 8:30 a.m and were walking and learning it's history till 11:00 a.m.

                              LOCATION:

The Blacksmith History Forge Museum is a short walk north of the Toqi Telpak Furushon Bazar on Khakikat Street. The museum is located in the Kulyuta karavansarai which was built in the 16th century.

                               PAYMENT:

Admission is free, and it is a rare treat to see a working blacksmith.(it was free, because of our stratification from institute ).

                        WHEN IT OPENED?

The museum was opened in 1992, and is the only museum of this type in Uzbekistan. This is a must see as you are walking through the old city.

                           BLACKSMITH:

The blacksmith was working on a knife, and using his hammer to straighten it on the anvil. The sound of the hammer on the anvil and the smoky atmosphere made the shop feel as if it was transported back into ancient times.

Rites of initiation into a master:

Young people learn from the masters all the tricks and wisdom, after which they become masters. Of particular interest to tourists is the ritual of initiation of a student into a master, which takes place in a solemn and festive atmosphere.

Parents give him a national robe and belt as a sign of respect for the master. The mentor prepares young masters for independent work, sets them up for a positive result.
The rites of initiation into the master are also held in silk weaving, but here the master puts a robe on the student and ties him with a gauze bandage (about 5-6 meters). In addition, as a sign of blessing, the student receives tools and material. Moreover, a loom is being installed in the new apprentice's workshop.
